The particle accelerator Sirius, the largest scientific infrastructure in Brazil, began to be used this week to investigate details of non-structural proteins of the Sars-Cov-2 virus, which causes covid-19. Conducted by researchers from the São Carlos Institute of Physics at USP (University of São Paulo), this is the first external research carried out at the center located in Campinas (SP).
