My main lines of research in CIBFar are: Anti-symmetrical total synthesis of natural products and biological active molecules using small polifunctionalized molecules (Morita-Baylis-Hillman adducts) as substrate. Mechanistic study of Morita-Baylis-Hillman through mass spectrometry. Design, synthesis and evaluation of new antitumor, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial agents.
