The city of Natal-RN will receive the 37th edition from the Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Society of Química (RASBQ), during May 26th to 29th, in the Center of Conventions of Natal. The central subject of the 37th RASBQ will be “the role of Chemistry in the current economic scene: competitiveness with responsibility”.
The Center of Conventions of Natal has an good infrastructure, and accommodate comfortably scheduled activities of 37th RASBQ. The participants of the RASBQ will be able to choose adequate rooms to its budget, next to local of the event. Located the 500 m of the Center of Conventions, hotel SEHRS will be the hotel headquarters.
The scientific programming of 37th RASBQ will have as prominence point a special session with the winner of the Nobel Prize 1996 of Chemistry, Prof. Harold Kroto. Prof. Kroto will speak and will argue with the auditorium aspects related to making science and its relations with the society.
Beyond the opening conference that will be given by the Prof. Oswaldo Serra (USP-RP), the event will have 16 invited speakers (with speakers of U.S.A., England, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Holland and Brazil); 4 interdivisional thematic sessions; 13 short courses; 3 sessions of panels; at least 20 coordinate sessions; 7 workshops; a session of book launching; a tribute session; divisional and regional assemblies; a thematic symposium, the annual regular meeting and some social events.
