IUPAC-2017 and SBQ 40 YEARS: UNMISSABLE

Winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Sir J. Fraser Stoddart, will deliver the “Special Plenary Conference” of IUPAC-2017 on the date of the 40th anniversary celebrations of the SBQ – Brazilian Chemical Society.

The Nobel Prize for Chemistry, received just over a month ago in Stockholm – Sweden, chemist Sir J. Fraser Stoddart of the Chemistry Department of Northwestern University – United States, has just confirmed his presence at IUPAC-2017 in Sao Paulo.

Professor Stoddart, who shared the Nobel Prize in chemistry with Bernard Feringa and Jean-Pierre Sauvage for his work on the “development and synthesis of molecular machines,” will deliver the IUPAC-2017 Special Plenary Conference on July 12 at 9am, In commemoration of the 40 years of the SBQ. With the title “The Rise and Promise of the Mechanical Bond in Chemistry and Beyond,” Professor Stoddart’s lecture will be a memorable event.
