Scientists talk with population: distribution of invitations at the IFSC / USP

The “USP Talks” was created in 2016, of the desire to approach University and society. The event, organized by the Pro-Rectory of Research of the University of São Paulo (PRP-USP) in partnership with the Journal  “O Estado de S. Paulo – Estadão” and support from the University of São Paulo Foundation (FUSP), is an initiative which aims to promote a qualified debate with society on current and important issues of the national scene, with the participation of renowned specialists.

In its twenty-second edition, “USP TALKS” will be held for the first time outside the capital, on July 26, in the city of São Carlos, starting at 7 pm, at the Dr. Alderico Vieira Perdigão Municipal Theater, located at Rua Sete de Setembro, 1,735.

With the theme “LONGEVIDADE” (longevity), the event will be attended by scientists Adriano D. Andricopulo, specialist in medicinal chemistry and drug planning at the São Carlos  Institute of Physics (IFSC) of the University of São Paulo (USP), and Stevens Rehen , a specialist in stem cells and neuroscience at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and the D’Or Institute for Research and Teaching;  with the mediation of Herton Escobar, journalist and reporter of Science of Estadão.

It is with great satisfaction that we invite everyone to participate. The event is free and open to the public.
